Market RoundUp 🚀
Market-wide correction led to dwindling NFT sales last week. The Chinese state media, in their usual style, even released an NFT bubble warning. The waning momentum, however, didn’t stop the mindblowing valuations from happening.
An EtherRock was sold for 790 Ether ($2,607,584.60). Millions are being spent on Loot projects that technically don’t exist, and FTX’s CEO sold a “Test” NFT to commemorate their NFT Marketplace launch for $270k. Wow! It’s tough to describe what stage of the market cycle we are.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club returned to The top 5 clubs after MAYC displaced it a couple of weeks ago. As usual, the top 5 are the regular dominant collections — Axie Infinity, CryptoPunks, and the Loot project. There’s a new entrant called The Sevens (Official). The top 5 most expensive sales had just one change — Autoglyphs #380 sold for $1.48m. The rest came from the CryptoPunks, BAYC, and Fidenza NFT collections, as usual.
Although the OpenSea platform still topped the rankings, it experienced a bug that made tens of NFTs worth over $100k disappear forever. Popular Defi swap, PancakeSwap announced it would be launching its NFT Marketplace last week while top crypto exchange, OKEx, also launched its first NFT flash sale.
